Cook Forest State Park
The 8,500-acre Cook Forest State Park and 3,136-acre Clarion River Lands lie in scenic northwestern Pennsylvania. Known for its stands of old growth forest, the park’s Forest Cathedral of towering white pines and hemlocks is a National Natural Landmark. A scenic 13-mile stretch of the Clarion River flows through Cook Forest State Park and is popular for canoeing, kayaking, and tubing.
Historic City of Brookville
Brookville features a charming restored Victorian Main Street with quaint shops, restaurants, striking architecture, a beautiful historical district. The northern trailhead for Redbank Valley Trail, Pennsylvania’s first “Trail of the Year”, is conveniently located near downtown.
Clear Creek State Park
Clear Creek State Park encompasses 1,901 acres from Clear Creek Valley to the Clarion River. Camp in rustic cabins along the river or hike and explore the house sized boulders of Beartown Rocks, named “one of the best kept secrets” in Clear Creek State Forest.
Clarion River
The Clarion River is a tributary of the Allegheny River, approximately 110 mi long, in west central Pennsylvania in the United States. It drains a rugged area of the Allegheny Plateau in the Ohio River watershed, flowing through narrow serpentine valleys and hardwood forests.
Farmer’s Inn
The Farmer’s Inn offers a variety of attractions for all ages, such as restaurant, ice cream, mini golf, driving range, gem panning and more. Located near Clear Creek and Cook Forest State Parks, it is open from mid April to November.
